Why Tampa Bay Brands Choose Tanner's for Custom Patches
Custom hat patches are the fastest-growing trend in branded headwear, and for good reason. A patch holds detail that stitching alone can’t. It looks retail-quality on a structured cap. And it turns a plain trucker hat into merch people actually want to wear. Whether you’re outfitting a construction crew in Riverview, building a merch line for a Tampa brewery, or making spirit wear for a Brandon school, the right patch puts your logo front and center. And patches are not just for hats. We apply them to jackets, sweatshirts, vests, bags and backpacks too.
Most patch companies mail you a bag of loose patches and wish you luck. We do it differently. Patch production, hat sourcing, and application all happen in-house at our Brandon showroom, the same shop that has handled custom embroidery since 2000 and served as an approved vendor for Super Bowl LV. You approve a digital proof before we run a single piece. And with a 12-piece minimum, patch hats work for a startup food truck as easily as a 500-person company.
Popular Uses for Custom Patch Hats
Work crews choose PVC and embroidered patches because they survive job sites, sun, and washing. Retail brands lean on leather and suede styles to build hat lines that sell at $30 and up. Event planners order patch hats for golf tournaments, fundraisers, and corporate gifts. Teams and schools across Hillsborough County use them for coaches’ caps and booster merch. Custom Patch FAQ
What is the minimum order for custom patches?
Which patch type is best for my brand?
How long does production take?
Can you apply patches to hats and garments for me?
Can I supply my own hats?
Yes! We can apply patches to hats you provide, or source blanks for you, including Richardson, Yupoong, and Flexfit. Sourcing through us usually saves money and guarantees the patch and hat pair correctly, but the choice is yours. Either way, you get finished hats, not a bag of loose patches.
What hat styles work best with patches?
Structured caps with a flat front panel show patches best: trucker hats, snapbacks, and rope hats. Leather and faux suede patches pair beautifully with Richardson-style caps. PVC and embroidered patches work on almost anything, including beanies. Tell us the look you want and we’ll recommend the right combination.
